Unit Description

There is a need for education professionals that have the specialised skills and knowledge to support learners with autism, who often have complex learning profiles in diverse learning environments.

The main focus of this unit is to equip education professionals with evidence-based, targeted and intensive educational strategies and practices, which support learners with autism through small group and individualised instruction. The ultimate aim of which is to help these learners achieve life and vocational independence.

In this unit you will build your knowledge of evidence-based strategies for enhancing the social, communication, and self-management skills of learners with autism in educational and community settings.
